WhatsApp mute videos

WhatsApp will soon allow users to mute videos before sharing

Facebook-owned WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to mute videos before sharing them with your friends and family members. It is currently working on a feature and is expected to roll out in future releases.

As per Wabetainfo, “WhatsApp is working on new features now. The next feature, available in a future update, will allow muting videos before sending to contact or your status updates.”

Other Features

The social app is also working on a feature that will allow users to send messages to WhatsApp Support with a WhatsApp chat in the future. In addition, WhatsApp is considering renaming “Archive Chats” with “Read later.”

What is WhatsApp “Read Later” feature

Read Later will be an improved version of Archive Chats. Currently, if you receive any new message for archive chats you receive a notification, but for the “Read Later” feature those notifications will no more appear if any new message arrives. Instead, those messages will directly go into the “Read Later” folder and you will need to manually open the message to read it.

One feature will be available, you will see a new persistent cell at the top of your chat list called “Read Later.” Once you tap on “Read Later”, you will get a presentation message that states “Archive is now Read Later. To reduce interruptions, chats with new messages stay here and you won’t get any notifications.”

The feature will be part of the coming “Vacation Mode.” Once you enable the “Vacation Mode” all your chats will be archived in the “Read Later” folder, so that you can read them later. The users can disable the Vacation Mode by heading over to the settings option.
