LG Wing: a new kind of dual-display smartphone

The South Korean giant LG has launched a new smartphone called–LG Wing. It is a dual-display smartphone that also includes a Swivel mode. The Swivel mode allows the primary display to rotate 90-degrees horizontally so that you can see and use apps both vertically and horizontally.

The primary display comes with a 6.8-inch Full HD + POLED display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. On the other side, the secondary display features a 3.9-inch GOLED display with a 1:1.15 aspect ratio. The Swivel mode allows achieving multitasking at a greater level. For instance, during video playback, you can use the main screen to stream videos while the secondary screen can be used as a personal remote control. Similarly, if you are scrolling photos, then full-sized photos will appear on screen and carousel on another.

The phone runs with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, paired with an 8GB of RAM. LG offers the phone in two storage variants–128GB and 256GB. To handle graphics during gaming, LG Wing equipped with Adreno 620 GPU. To make your phone secure, it comes with an in-built fingerprint sensor.

In terms of camera and optics, the phone features with triple rear camera setup comprising of a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 12-megapixel gimble motion camera. There is also a 32-megapixel pop-up selfie camera.

The USP of the camera is its Gimble Motion camera. It allows capturing stable and steady shots. With dual-recording you can shoot both from the front and rear sensor simultaneously. You can watch both shots side by side, Picture in Picture, or in split-screen as two separate videos. The camera app is equipped with tons of features including Live pictures, Steady CAM, 3D tilting photo, cartoon sketch, ASMR recording, and many more.

LG’s new phone packs a 4,000mAh battery that will last about a day. It supports Quick Charge 4.0+ 25W fast charging as well as 10W wireless charging. The phone runs Android 10 with Q OS on top.

In India, it is launched with 128GB variants. It costs Rs. 69,990 and is available in Aurora Gray and Illusion Sky color options.
