ISRO to launch EOS-01 satellite on November 7

Indian space agency ISRO will launch the first satellite of the year on November 7. The space agency will launch earth observation satellite EOS-01 and nine international customer spacecraft from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. ISRO will use PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) C49 rocket for the mission.

EOS-01 is an earth observatory satellite and is designed for applications in agriculture, forestry, and disaster management support. “The launch is tentatively scheduled at 3.02 p.m. IST on November 7 subject to weather conditions” from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

It will be the 51st mission of PSLV C49. The launch will be the first since the country went into lockdown in March-2020 due to COVID-19.
