Apple Watch Series 6

What’s new with Apple Watch Series 6

Apple has announced its next series of smartwatch called Watch Series 6. The watch will succeed Watch Series 5 that was launched in 2019. Design-wise it is similar to its predecessor Series 5.

Watch Series 6 features

One of the most exciting features which Apple has added in Series 6 is measuring blood oxygen levels. Apple claims that it can measure the blood oxygen levels in just 15 seconds. To measure the levels it uses a red light, along with an existing infra-red sensor. The sensors can check the levels during sleep as well.

Apple has also updated the sleep app. The sleep app can track your sleep at night and helps you maintain a bedtime routine. Another feature that Apple Watch is getting is that always-on-altimeter. It continuously tracks your elevation all day. Apple has also added the Always-on access. It will eliminate the need to wake your watch for checking notifications and minor interactions. You can access the notification center by swiping down, and access the control center by swiping up, or just a simple tap.

In terms of technical specifications, Series 6 runs a new S6 processor. Apple claims that it is 20 percent faster than the predecessor. It also supports 5GHz Wi-Fi networks and its always-on-display is 2.5 times brighter than Series 5.

If we talk about the battery life, then it has the same battery life as we are getting on Series 5. Apple says the watch can last for about 18-hours on a single charge. It can fully be charged in just 90-minutes.

People can choose the watch between, Titanium, Stainless Steel, or Aluminum. The watch will be available in two cases red and blue. Apple will also offer a watch with solo Loop. It is a seamless band without a clasp or buckle. Like the previous generation watches you can customize the watch face as well as share them with their friends and family.
